First South-South Cooperation Forum on Biodiversity for Development

With the collaboration of Yemen as Chair of the Group of 77 and China, and the Executive Secretary of the G-77 in New York, the SCBD organized the First South-South Cooperation Forum on Biodiversity for Development, held on 17 October 2010 in Nagoya, Japan, at the margins of the tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the CBD (COP 10). The objective of the event was to give G-77 Parties an opportunity to validate and adopt the Multi-Year Plan of Action on South-South Cooperation on Biodiversity for Development as a group, which will be submitted to COP 10 as UNEP/CBD/COP/10/18/ADD1/REV1 by Yemen on behalf of the G-77.
