The southern coast of Yemen (the Gulf of Aden) is rich in biodiversity such as different crustaceans, mollusks, fish and other marine organisms, but unfortunately most of this biodiversity has not been fully studied so far. Among this biodiversity, the presence of many different types of Brachyuran crabs (crustaceans - multi-legged) was observed during the field trips of the marine biology team of the Center for Environmental Studies and Sciences - University of Aden since 2002 AD.
This presented study is a study of a part of this unique biodiversity that abounds in the southern coast of Yemen, represented by the study of brachyuran crabs types in coastal sites of different environments in the Gulf of Aden (the part of the city of Aden), where this study is considered the first study in The field of inventory, registration and documentation of different types of short-abdominal cancers in the coasts of the city of Aden in its various coastal environments.
