Held in Sanaa a workshop to discuss the strategy of environment awareness in protected areas and organized by the Environment Protection Authority in cooperation with the project sustainable management of natural resources (Phase II), on Monday,14 May 2012.
And participated in the workshop 30 participants and the participation of the professionals and their branches and protected areas (Bura'a - Howf - Al_Hesowah wetland)
Environmental awareness is the basis of work for proper planning in the environmental management of protected areas, with the need to carry that awareness messages and clear, strong and simple up to local communities in protected areas and the wider community.
As logging, grazing, poaching and the negative impact of tourism, climate change, population growth and increasing poverty rates affect significantly and directly on the environment and biodiversity in these protected areas, was the output of the workshop is useful for strategy development and improvement in proportion to the reality in protected areas.
